The VBOLT-TL desulfurization unit is engineered to oxidize and separate selected sulfur-containing compounds from a wide range of feedstocks. Depending on the feedstock and configured pretreatment and extraction route, it can also reduce certain nitrogen- and oxygen-containing species, gums, and heavy polar contaminants.

Using an application-specific oxidant, catalyst, and extraction package, the system can improve color and oxidation stability while reducing sulfur. Viscosity-index response and any sulfur target, including below 10 ppm, must be confirmed through feed analysis and laboratory or pilot testing.
