Mixed Waste Oil Distillation Plant
A mixed waste oil distillation plant can process compatible blends of used engine oil, lubricating oil, hydraulic oil or selected pyrolysis oils only after representative laboratory testing. Water, antifreeze, light solvents, chlorinated compounds, solids and metals can change the process design or make a proposed blend unsuitable. Feed segregation and acceptance criteria are therefore part of the plant design.

A project may include receiving and storage, settling or filtration, dehydration, atmospheric or vacuum distillation, condensation and product finishing. The recovered liquid should be described as a diesel-range fraction until testing confirms its properties. Use in boilers, generators, industrial equipment or road vehicles depends on the measured fuel specification and local regulations.
Information Required for Plant Selection
Provide feed samples and results for water, solids, density, viscosity, flash point, distillation range, sulfur, chlorine, ash, carbon residue and metals, together with daily feed availability, target product, operating hours and site utilities. Capacity, yield, residue generation and product quality should be based on a documented mass balance, test methods and agreed acceptance criteria.
